Madewell's new girl

Move over Alexa, Solange Knowles is the new face of Madewell's 2012-2013 winter campaign. The DJ/singer/world class beauty, is also one quirky cool cat! Seriously, the girl is an inspiration. I've dedicated this post to her amazng style. Lets all gaze upon her in awe...

Factory Girl

So one of the perks of working at topshop is snooping the trend packages sent from head office (not forgetting the uniform discount of course!) Since recieving the new Factory girl trend pack my pennies have been burning in my pocket. Of course, I love summer as much as the next girl, but as autumn looms and the shops start filling up with chunky knit wear and boyish peacoats, I can't help but get just a little bit excited for the temperature to drop! Anyway, this new trend is 1960's boy-meets-girl-meets-edie sedgwick (eeek I know your excited now!) Heres the inspiraton straight from topshop HQ. Im off to purchase some tartan skinnys and collarless jacket! Tarra.

What better way to begin...

...than with a holiay post! I am suffering those dreaded holiday blues big time this week after returning from a gorgeous week in Split, Croatia with the b/f. Its funny, you spend the whole year waiting, desperately willing time to fast forward until you are lying on a beach thinking about how wonderful it is to be somewhere so beautiful. The next thing you know you're at home, watching the rain out of the window trying to remember what it was like on that beach. I guess thats why we take pictures, so here is my Croatia photo diary- Enjoy!

11.Pizza, wine, no shoes, alfresco 12. Home made cocktails & hostel

Since I've been back, I've tried at every opportunity to recommend Split (croatia) as a city to visit to ANYONE who will listen, friends, family, customers at work (topshop, if anyone was wondering what I do with my life), even strangers on the train. Not only is it beautiful, the people are lovely, the food is exquisite (black squid risotto-fit), and more importantly it is CHEAP. So here is my advice to you- go to split, visit the Diocletian Palace, climb Marjan mountain (on the coolest day-its high!), get ferry's to Hvar and Brac for day trips, make sure you swim at zlatni rat, and if you go in search for a beach in split, when you get to one, keep walking. The one round the corner is even better.
